Fruit! The colors of which look pretty gross if you ask me. A pear, an apple, grapes and a lime, and... a chayote! It's a fruit you can eat with or without skin. In salads, it tastes sort of like a combo cross between a potato and cucumber. You can cook it any way you want and serve it with butter or herbs and spices. Here's to lime shades. Happy Thursday!

Lovely limes, Sammie! I like that pot/vase with the interesting edge. Not heard of that chayote, sounds very exotic!

Heya Sammie,
We are trying to cut down on our time requirements so we want you to go over to Mitch and Maggies blog about this NOT True Color lime thing.
http://northfordmaggie.blogspot.com/2009/04/true-colors-thursday-lime.html
Find our comment to them and do a "cut and paste" it into the comments sections for this post that you did. Be sure to save all these "lime" picture cuz next week's NOT True Color might be chartruse, which is like lime which is really a puke GREEN. See how much time and effort we saved by not having to write a big long comment on your blog for this NOT True Colors that y'all do every Thursday. You don't have a "lime" cuz do you?

Heya M&M,
OK, time for a reality check. If a color isn't on a Wonder Bread wrapper it isn't a real color. It's some color that a girl or a fashion designer made up. Lime is NOT a color, it's citrus fruit with a lot of vitamin C. Limes were used by the British Royal Navy to combat scurvy, hence British sailors were called "Limies." Youse must have the only "Lime" cuz in existence and it looks like a good cuz; shouldn't y'all have a bad cuz? Our dad was in the Navy and he knows a poem (maybe it was a LIMErick) about a girl from Natucket but mom said we can't put it in your blog comment. What'd y'all have for dinner tonight, well at least what was the 1st course?
