Dear Diary

We don't even have a diary, but we're thinkin' of gettin' one as once again, Momzers has been on the fritz as our assistant; we are sorry we haven't been to see you for a while. Today, we're gonna give you a little idea of why we've been such poor bloggie pals these last several months.
Above is our buddy, driving her RV. We don't know her destination, but hopefully, we'll meet somewhere in the next half year or so! Mom and Dad have been up to their (very short) ears with the planning of our upcoming trip, which supposedly starts next Wednesday the 14th of March! We are almost ready to depart on our seven month odyssey, but it's supposed to rain! Ah well... Mom and Dad say that some amounts of some kinds of weather is all part of the adventure! We've been hearing rumors that we're going to get to visit lots of National Parks and Forests and Monuments and Landmarks across this great country, while on our way to a reunion in late July. In. Maine!!!! We're first headed (from here in Northern California) for Joshua Tree in the southern part of the state. From there, to the Grand Canyon and all those pawesome parks in southern Utah. That will take about a month! We've been to at least one wild west town, complete with serious cowboys...
...like this guy we met when we took Virginia City by storm! He gave us some tidbits on where we might find the "Hole in the Wall" gang, of Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid near Moab!

We can't wait to search for it when we get to Utah - our pal Jason is waiting and ready to help us! Then... we'll stop in Estes Park to check out those Colorado Rockies - our pals, K and R always look so happy romping around them thar hills! Annnd then, we get to go...
...HERE! Check this out! That is one ginormous Grizzled mammal, but hey! We consider ourselves rock jock girls who'll try climbing anything, so c'mon join our party at Devil's Tower in Wyoming! Then... OMDog!

Look where we're going next! Mount Ruffmore! (Maybe we can climb that too!) And we'll check out some bad lands as well, then visit another wild west town called Deadwood and lots more!
Then it's off to North Dakota, Minnesota and a border crossing into Canada - Tank, you there still? We're gonna check out the Mounties in the parks, as we wind our way along the T-Canada Highway, hugging Lake Superior.
Finally, we'll be heading to Niagara Falls - we're shopping the internet for our slickers! We'll spend a month or so in New England with a week in Maine - owwwoooooooooooooo! Hope we get to have bunches of lobsters there!
But hot doggehs will do! On the return trip, gonna swing by Glacier in Montana (and Canada), Banff (below) and hopefully Jasper - we wanna see it all! Momma hasn't put the final touches on the trip west yet, but we hope to have enough internets and cell connections to make some posts and visit.
Lovely Lake Louise... can't wait to swim there!
Oh nos! Which way is home? Hopefully, through BC, Washington and Oregon, in time to settle back down in Northern Cal! Will let yous know how it goes. We are amazed by Bunny and Crew as well as Sam and Monty, who guessed that the little tent thing in our last post was a Shutzhund blind. We have no idea how to play this game, but kudos and bragging rights to both of you and your pack! Have a great weekend!

OMD, it's going to be such a pawsome trip! Just remember, they don't call it the Badlands without reason. Many photos of us & goldens hiding in the house somewhere from when we were at Waterton, Glacier, Lake Louise, southern Utah parks. So glad we have digital photos these days! Be sure to check in frequently. I can't believe it's already almost your departure day!!!!
Ava, you'll be on the road for your birthday this year. Love, Bob, Laurie & Jamie.
