Yumzers!

Mom took us to Miller Creek a few days ago, thinking that we needed a run (and we did), but... once we discovered the gifts on the forest floor, we stopped our runnin' to investigate...

These are pretty awful pictures of us, but you can see us nosing around the leaves for something...

And here's a short movie of what we are doing...

And below... what. we. are. nomming. on. Yumzers!

Hi Y'all,

Thanks for visitin' me!

My Human would have whipped out her favorite "leave it". She uses it everytime she sees me sniffin' around too long.

Y'all are so lucky you got to actually taste your find!

Y'all come back now,

Mom never lets us eat acorns! She heard they were toxic for dogs. Phooey! You two look like you're having a great time!

Wow, you guys actually ate them? Marge, who will eat ANYTHING, won't even think about picking those up when we're walking in the woods!

Either deer turds or acorns, are my guesses! It looks like you had fun!!!

So glad that you're enjoying winter there.

The forest is always a great place to snoffer around in!
We thought we heard a "crunch", which bodes well for those being nuts and not.... "processed" nuggets. Our mom usually does the "drop it" thing when we find something tasty.

Our poor Golden Girls are not allowed to forage. Our Lucy has, well, a delicate digestive system. When she finds something like that, she has to go out around 2am and it's canned pumpkin for breakfast and dinner. We don't let her pick up anything if we can help it.
