Respite from the Heat

We've had a long last 10 days and have been bad bloggy buds, which we deflect all the blame on Moms. Bad Momzers. We had a heat wave and finally got some relief by heading over to Fort Baker - it's just near Sausalito - quite near us. Ahhh... relief.

While Ava played with a log...

I kinda lured her over to a cool, deep swimming hole.

After I reached shore, I ran over to the diving area again!

Ava was watching for my next dive clue! We sure got tired! Well... I did, anyway!

No bites on the house, but the pawrents are not surprised. Will end with some sad news to us... yesterday, the grandpeeps' dog, Buddy went to the Rainbow Bridge. Mom wishes she had a pitchur of him, but he was a playpal of mine on occasion. What an angelic blacklab mix he was - full of mischief as a pupper and just plain sweetie pie as an adult. Fly free, angel Bud!

I am so sorry you lost your friend Buddy. Nice part is that we all know they have a lot of fun friends there to show them around.

It sure looked cool where you were swimming and playing. I bet that felt good after all the heat.

Hi Pups, I have just found you and started following you. I immediately recognized all your sites because we used to live in Santa Rosa but grew up in Palo Alto. I do miss the beauty of your area though. So sorry about Buddy but I know he'll be at the Rainbow Brige with lots of pals.
Have a delightful weekend,
Noreen & Reggie-dog

That looks like a great way to cool down! I walked right into where our neighbor's sprinklers were shooting the other day, stopped, and stood there for a minute! Dad found it funnier than Mom did ... since I had Mom on a short leash at the time. Ha roo roo roo!
Play bows,
Zim

PS: We're sure sorry to hear about Buddy!
