Our Journey...

Think we forgot to tell you a lil bit about what sort of vacay we're on! Last September of 2011, Dad retired. He and momzers got an RV and decided to plan a trip across the country, visiting national parks on the way to Maine (where's that?) for a family reunion. That's a long trip from northern California! Anyway, this blog is now a record of our travels across the good ole U.S. of A. and even Canada - plus all the things we get to do and see! We started our journey mid-March and hope to be back in NoCal by mid-October - yeah!

Momma here...

Hi Bloggie Pals...

As you must realize, our blog has suffered from neglect... mostly by the fault of our Momma who has been most busy doing things that cause much confusion. We defer to her cause we must...

Momma here: In the last couple of months or so, we've been incredibly neglectful of the girls' blog. There has been a lot going on. Let's start with the fact that hubby, Bill is retiring in September (whoo hah!). So, we have decided to move, dependent upon the fact that we can sell our current place. Thus, we have been sorting through 41 years of STUFF, which has taken up a lot of time (hee hee) and then packing up what we deem to be necessary for post-retirement life? Well... we've been trying. And then our son decided he needed to get married... yesterday afternoon. It was a glorious celebration and there was a lot of happiness and pals and so on, but a distraction for sure!!! (From the blog, that is... By the end of this week, we should be packed up and the painters should have been finished painting; carpeters finished installing...) We will be starting to post again in a couple of weeks and looking forward to checking out your blogs once again whoopee! Back to the puppers...

Okay so here is one photo of the happy bride and groom hip hip hooray!

I think I might have seen that big wedding on TV over the weekend. hehehe
My mom says the retirement thingy is just wonderful... I am sure that it will be so with your dad, too.
I hope all goes well with the Move and the selling of your home.

Hey Mich,

Congratulations to Bill's retirement and also to the newly weds!

It's a shame that we would not get the chance to meet up this summer but, I'm sure there will be plently of opportunities in the near future!

Congratulations and best wishes to the newlyweds! How exciting for all. Our Dad is retiring this year too, or so he says. Mom says she will believe when it happens. We send you wishes for good luck with the house selling and for a lot of fun times ahead.

Oh, belated congratulations on the wedding!! What a beautiful picture - it must have been such a happy time for everybody!!

Wow - 41 years of stuff?! My human, Hsin-Yi, says she could barely cope with a few years when we had to move from NZ last year - she can't imagine how your humans sorted through all that!!!

Am so glad to hear that you'll be back to blogging soon - I've missed you! By the way, when you get round to visiting me, you might like to check out the posts about my humans at university - I think your Momma might enjoy them!

Slobbers,
Honey the Great Dane

Great pic of the happy couple, congratulations all round.
We seem to be living through similar life events - all the way over here in Scotland.
I have now taken early retirement and husband plans to once we sell the house.
We hope to move up to the Highlands - possibly the Isle of Skye - but keeping our options open.
Like you I found the blog was just too much - not from me posting but I felt very guilty as I fell behind with all our friends blog.
We will hopefully start up once all has settled down - we miss the blogs and do still, as you can see, look in on our friends.
Strange how it has become part of our world!
Good luck with the house sale - things are pretty static here in the UK at the moment but everything comes to those who wait...!!!
Much love
