Our Journey...

Think we forgot to tell you a lil bit about what sort of vacay we're on! Last September of 2011, Dad retired. He and momzers got an RV and decided to plan a trip across the country, visiting national parks on the way to Maine (where's that?) for a family reunion. That's a long trip from northern California! Anyway, this blog is now a record of our travels across the good ole U.S. of A. and even Canada - plus all the things we get to do and see! We started our journey mid-March and hope to be back in NoCal by mid-October - yeah!

Got Snow on da Brains!

"Pss psst pss pss..."
Avalon: "Huh? I didn't get that."
"Pss psss psss pfsss pssnnowww"
Avalon: "What you whisperin' about?"
"Look into my eyes... the pictures below are reflected in them hee hee! I've been on a nostalgia jaunt!"
Isn't it bootiful? Someday, you'll be in a snow show hahaha! Ho ho ho!

(Mom: this is an old photoshow and there are way too many pix in here, so don't feel you need to watch whole thing - you get the drift, hah! Hope our pals in the midwestern states are doin' okay with all the snow you've been getting... we're thinking about you.)

Dogs and snow. A great pairing. Very nice slide show and photos. That's why I like living in the west. You don't have to LIVE in snow, but can go to the snow when a fix is needed.

My dogs have never seen snow! They don't like the car!

I am not a big fan of all the snow dumped here at my house. It's up past, my uh, stuff, making potty runs not much fun.

The snow is pretty - as long as you don't have to go anywhere in it! We've gotten a foot today & another one is one the way according to the weatherman! Brrrr!

Avalon - you are just going to love that snow when you get to go there with Sammie. We are in the Midwest but sadly we only got a sprinkling of snow, nothing like the states to our north and east:(

We love that photoshow and no way is it too long:)

As you can imagine, I've never seen anything like that before. Hope you get some soon and then you'll have to make a snow dog for us!!!
Also...many thanks for the beautiful Christmas card. It arrived to great exclamations of joy and celebration. You really made our day! Thank you so much.
Wishing you a wonderful and joyous Christmas season too.

Yuh, the middle is getting a whallop. I am glad it isn't happening here. You just be patient. You'll have snow soon enough.

We got some snow over the weekend as well and we told them to send it your way. We love SNOW but when it is like 20 below zero our little (big) paws freeze so Mom says get your butt back inside. Cleo, Winston and Amiee.

P.S...--- Watch for the mail person by the end of the week. You might be getting something. :)

You two are the luckiest dogs! We used to go to a little tiny cabin near Emerald Bay on Lake Tahoe years ago. We mainly went in the winter, and adored the gorgeous snowy mountains. Avalon - you have no idea how much fun you're going to have!

Great snow memories! Oh Avalon, trust Sammie on this one!
We have the cold, but no snow, yet!!!

Sammie, thanks for trying to assist us. We thinks our humans must go to some sort of a school or something to learn how to correct these issues. Obviously your Mom is pretty talented when it comes to pictures. :) They are beautiful. :) We know one of our blogging pals will come through for us. Keep watching the mail. :) The Hounddogs and HoundDogMom
