Me and My Friend

Rather than Monday Captions, I would like to share some photos of Honey showing me how to enjoy life - from the moment my humans brought me home. Honey led me to doggie walking places and swimming creeks. She tried to teach me how to slow down a bit after strenuous workouts. Honey: you were the whole reason my parents rescued a golden. One day I'll meet you again - across the rainbow bridge, where no doubt, you will show me all around again! Until then, I will always remember you deep in my heart, good pal.

A Lot of Biz...

I want to apologize for not having been very good about posting comments on your blogs. It's been a full and sometimes difficult week. I'll be going around the blogs tomorrow to say hey to my buds! Mom just not only posted her first video, but it's the first one she's ever taken, so she's come a long way. This is for Mason's wiggle walk gig - I was as motivated as I could get for my first movie.

I have received some awards and belatedly thank those of you who bestowed these lovely gifts upon me. To Chase ( http://chasethepuggle.blogspot.com/) for this super nice stamp that means "Proven. This blog has sweetness." I would like to pass this on to the Rocky Creek Scotties, Mango, Mason Dixie and Tucker and Daisy and Leo.

Secondly, I want to thank Honey the Great Dane (http://bighoneydog.com/honeys-blog) and Diego (http://diegodog.blogspot.com/) for Neno's award, which is a wonderful gift.
As a dedication for those who love blogging activity and love to encourage friendships through blogging. To seek the reason why we all love blogging. Put the award in one post as soon as you receive it. Don’t forget to mention the person who gives you the award. Answer the Award’s question by writing the reason why you love blogging. Tag and distribute the Award to as many people as you like.
This is not difficult to answer. I have received so much information and support that has helped
my peeps understand me better! We all love seeing what you do everyday and it's interesting and fun to exchange what we do in our lives all around the globe. My humans learn about better food, about doggies who need our help, about medicines even! We watch videos of you and study the pictures of all the different things you do - and you are all such individuals! We see puppies who have just been born and... read stories of how you help your sick and older doggies cross the rainbow bridge. DWB is a pawsome resource and even though I haven't been blogging for long here, I love having the connection to all my new buds and learning the live life to the fullest. Thanks to all my wonderful friends!
I want to pass this award on to the 3 Happy Heelers, Chester, Pipa, Charlie the Golden Retriever, Byte and Pu.
Finally, I have been sitting on this award for a while and have been meaning to pass it on for a ridiculous amount of time.

I'd like to pass this on to Chase, Eduardo, the OP Pack, The Bumpass Hounds, Nibbles... Treats and the Army of Four.

I send every pup a ton of licks and love,

xo Sammie

Visit to the Wildflowers and... the Park!

There is this place that has a humongous amount of wildflowers.... right next to the freeway!
So, yet again, mom made me pose amongst the flowers and here I am... Fortunately, after the shoot, I got to go to the park and play with my pals!

This is my pawsome pal, Wesley, who came from the same organization as me... Norcal Golden Retriever Rescue!

This is our own version of soccer a la dog parkie!

Ma! Find my kong! I'm really not into bumpers!

My Friend...

My pal, Honey, isn't doing very well. Her mom, Kristin, and dad, Dave, are sad and giving Honey lots of loves and park time. I hope you'll stop by Honey's blog (http://supertrooperhoney.blogspot.com) and say hi. Thanks so much.

New Blog and a one...two... three... with a Backyard Tussle

I am so happy Mom found the wonderful Ana, Eduardo's mom, to put a banner and kongs and stars on my blog! I love the colors and my name, written in GOLD!!! Three cheers for Ana at Sweedy's layouts. There is a blue badge on the right side of my blog for a quick journey over there! She is so nice, knowledgeable and was extremely quick to pick up on just what I was hoping for... kongs! Check out her site!
Here at home yesterday, Mom was there snapping away when this happened. Hehe.

The truth? When I'm minding my own business, she taunts me. On the other hand, when she's minding her own p's & q's, well... just can't help myself. Ta-ta.

True Colors

Mum's Market Bag

Shell frame with lime design in center

Cover-up for???????

Fruit! The colors of which look pretty gross if you ask me. A pear, an apple, grapes and a lime, and... a chayote! It's a fruit you can eat with or without skin. In salads, it tastes sort of like a combo cross between a potato and cucumber. You can cook it any way you want and serve it with butter or herbs and spices. Here's to lime shades. Happy Thursday!

Monday Captions

How's about this pic? Many of you have seen this image, but I begged Ms. Heidi [from the house of Tucker, Daisy and Leo (http://tuckerdaisy.blogspot.com/)] to allow a special appearance here for Monday captions. So here 'tis! What can these doggies be thinking? What have they just seen? Worse, what are they staring at? Begin recruiting your neurotransmitters... ready... set... outta here!

Hugs xo - Sammie

Pee Ess: Please send your fab photos for Captions Monday to me, Sammie at http://sammiegolden.blogspot.com or email me at samanthae17@gmail.com - WOOF!

Wordless Wednesday (almost)

I'm not worried! Just to show somebody around here: no one's hijacking my blog! (Note my newly shaved leg!)

Tuesday, April 7, 2009

Ozzie here. It was super cool a week or so ago when the large golden creep made a dumb error in judgement and had to lay low for a while. Man, was I the queen of the manor! But she's on the mend however, and I've had to sharpen my claws to extra-fine pointies in the last couple of days. The tall ones who inhabit the abode give the golden one way too much attention for my tastes and she never, ever gives them gifts. I, on the other hand, do constantly shower them with presents of fur and feather. Do they bow to me and offer ginormous thank yous? Hardly!!!! Rather, they utter loudly and even shriek at times. Such tones hurt my ears. I'm sure you understand, but any ideas on what I can do about this dilemma?

Ppuuuuurrrrrfect!
Ozzie hehe

Caption Monday

Captions!... Captions!... Write all about it! I want to bark out big woofs to Golden Honey (http://supertrooperhoney.blogspot.com/) for this Monday's picture! Get your mental motors revved up, then type out your best caption for today's photo! Happy Monday! (At some point, Mama's going to tell you the plan she's thinking about for all your great captions and may even ask you for help on parts of her idea - thanks for being so patient...)

Beautiful Sunday Awards

Thanks...

It’s been a while since I’ve posted and Mom finally promised she’d get going again this beautiful Sunday morning. So much has happened that I don’t know where to begin. I got my stitches out on Friday and went to my favorite park yesterday – leashless (hoo-roooo!) – and frolicked in the creek which felt so good! We don’t have pix but you can believe that I had a big smile on my face as I chased my beloved kong once again! I get to go again today and then to the spa, cause I’m pretty dirtied up from all the “events” of the last two weeks ahem. In the interim, I am pawsomely grateful to have received two awards!

Snoop, Alfie, Rosie and Gabbi of the Dughallmor Beagles (http://dughallmorbeagles.blogspot.com/) and Chase (http://chasethepuggle.blogspot.com/) tagged me with a Life Is Grand award. Thanks so, so much!

Here are five things that definitely make my life grand:
1. Mom and Dad adore me no matter what I do or get into (hehe) – every moment that I get to do something (or nothing) WITH them is grand!
2. I get yummalicious food twice a day – lately some organic soft food has been added to it and man, is that pawsomely delicious!
3. I have comfy beds in the rooms where my peeps spend most of their time so I can rack out and catch up on my Zzzzzzzzzzzzzzs with sweet, uninterrupted dreams!
4. My tumtum feels so much better now and my outlook on the world is back to normal or even better than it was before and I know my recovery was hugely due to the outpouring of love, encouragement and support from my blog pals! Thank you all again so much.
5. The weather is fine, the flowers, cut grass, trees (gophers and squirrels) all smell so good that I’m very receptive to “LOVE” that’s in the air (or on the doggie internet (blush, wink wink).

And Checkers (http://checkersthepeekapoo.blogspot.com/) bestowed me with the most lovely bouquet of pink roses. Thank you so much! I adore these, Checkers and I’d like to pass them on to some of you – These pink roses are given to friends, bringing them a sweet and fruitful day. Those who receive these roses as a gift need to pass it on to ten friends to show them you care. And to those who received the roses, it's to show you are never forgotten.

I'd like pass along this bouquet to:

Huffle (sending vicariously on the part of Ozzie) (http://hufflemawson.blogspot.com )

Gus, Louie and Callie (http://gustheblueheeler.blogspot.com/)

Have a superb Sunday pals!

Hugs and Licks xo, Sammie

A Package from Addie and Lucie!

I'm still recuperating, so you can imagine my surprise and delight to smell such a yummalicious package that arrived yesterday from Addie and Lucie! These two amazing doggies picked some doggies at random to send some goodies to after celebrating their 200th post! I am so lucky to have been one recipient. Here I am scenting out the delectable nose of this pressie.

And here I am, practically diving into the package!
