Majorly Amazing Road Trip! - Part I

Woof! I'm baa-aack. But I want to bark out the amazing adventure(s) I've had in the last week. It'll take a few posts, if that's okay, and I want to catch up on all your news too - sooooo... can't wait to get started!

A week ago, last Saturday, Ma and Pa loaded me into my rather over-packed Jeep and off we went for parts unknown to me. Here we are headed south over the foggy (hmpphh! what else is new?) Golden Gate Bridge. A couple of hours later, I got a chance to relieve myself and check out the place.

I don't know which collages will biggify - sometimes they do and often not, but here I am, checking out San Juan Bautista. It's a beautiful day and it smells really good here!

After taking a look at the Mission, we walk through the town, which is small. I get the layout in my head really quickly, but too soon, it's time to get going again.

Our goal for this evening is Morro Bay, which supposedly has a beach for me to play on - woo-hoo! Here are some of the scenes I look at from my jeep.

It's very foggy when we arrive, but as the sun sets, the mists lift and you can see the gigantic Morro Rock!

A layer of mist hovers over the peak and remains until it gets dark. In the morning, there is sunshine with blue skies - the views are amazing - plus, we see a few seals! Arf!

We're headed for Malibu to see Ma's beautiful cousin. She and her hubby have five children, but you'd never believe it to look at her. There's a terrible picture of mama with Maria-Flora.

Later, I go out to check on Riley and his friend, who have been surfing. They've gotten into this thing which I don't recognize and decide to bark at it for quite a while, but it doesn't disappear. Now we are going to Santa Monica for the night.

This was sort of a mistake, cause the county that L.A. is in is not very accomodating to us pups. I not only have to be on leash all the time, but am not allowed on beaches (what? - there are so many!) or practically anywhere else. However, ma and pa take me to the Pier and also have dinner on the Promenade, which is very pretty at night. There is lots of music, dancing in the streets and entertainers. Mom tries to share a gelato with me, but I'm so clever that I grab the whole thing before she realizes what's happened - hahahahah!

I did have a great sleep, and after loading into the jeep yet again, we get out at a park and meet... KONA!!! (http://blog.dogbynature.com/). We had a super time meeting each other and I know my pawrents enjoyed meeting Kona's folks too. We are going to see them later in the week again. WOOF!

Now we are getting close to our final destination. Ma and Dad make a short stop at
San Juan Capistrano, but we don't see any swallows, except fake ones in store windows. It's a lovely town, but very different than San Juan Bautista. We drive on and finally see the ocean again. My fave view heheheh!

Ma is driving and says to Dad, "Takeapicturetakeapicturewe'reherewe'rehere!!!!" So dad snaps this shot and we finally leave the freeway - whew - to end up...

at the Boobears'!!! (http://mybubear.blogspot.com/) Joey and Kealani's mom, Valerie, has got to be one of the most kind and generous souls anywhere, for she rented the most excellent and beautiful house on a beach and invited me and my pawrents to visit for this special week. And almost immediately after we arrive, I get to go down to the beach and take a swim with Joey and Kealani! They are so pretty and I immediately begin to have a great time with them. Val is simply beautiful and so nice - and her place is just fantastically gorgeous! Now... there is so much more to my story, but it is long, so stay tuned for my next installment, cause you won't believe who shows up!!! I am in love with San Diego!
