Our Journey...

Think we forgot to tell you a lil bit about what sort of vacay we're on! Last September of 2011, Dad retired. He and momzers got an RV and decided to plan a trip across the country, visiting national parks on the way to Maine (where's that?) for a family reunion. That's a long trip from northern California! Anyway, this blog is now a record of our travels across the good ole U.S. of A. and even Canada - plus all the things we get to do and see! We started our journey mid-March and hope to be back in NoCal by mid-October - yeah!

Surprise Encounter during Practice!

Note from Mama: These past couple of weeks seem to have been closing in and time has taken me away from poor Sam's blog. My apologies for not having visited more often - will try to get to Sam's great pals this weekend.
With that said, it's my turn to tell you that mom made a big boo-boo when she said that I had a real obedience trial next month. Actually, (thanks Ma) it's TOMORROW awwkkkkkwoof! So my friends and I have spent lots of time this week getting ready for this. I got up early yesterday morning and practiced exercises with my Corgi pal, Moritz, and goldie buddy, Shanti. We went through the open (for them) and novice routines for me. Later in the day, I met up with Sierra Rose as I was practicing once again. Here is a picture of our morning long "sits." I have to stay here without moving for one minute.

Here we are practicing our long "downs." I have to stay put without moving for 3 whole minutes.

Later in the day, I went to McInnis to work some more, where I ran into Sierra!
Here's a little movie of my walk with Sierra that her mom took!
Later in the day, after that great walk with my girlfriend, I found Ozzie outside. Sheesh! After all this time, she still won't play with me...
...but I've come to like her lots more...

Hi Sammie, we watched your recall video and tomorrow will be a breeze!
You are just so focused - we were very impressed.
We loved your walk with Sierra too, you look beautiful together and we loved your mom's happy face at the end.
We weren't so sure about her hat of course!!!!
You know we are only joking! It is our typist - she can be quite cheeky and sometimes types things she isn't supposed to.

Ozzie's so cute - she looks like she has little white socks on! (I'll bet she hears that a lot.)
That's so cool that you got to see your buddies, but WOWZERS, no way could we do one of those "stay" things. Long or otherwise!
Good luck, Sam!

ok off to watch the videos now. *mutters* wow... 3 minutes...

Hi Sammie
I liked going on your walkies with Sierra but got distracted by your mom's hat! I was afraid you were going on some long trek thru the treacherous mountains. No.. it was around the corner to peak at ducks. BTW you and SR make a good team

Ozzie will come around. Sometimes it really takes a lots of times. Just now, after more than a year Zoey the cat is just warmin' up to momma's grand-dogs, Cody and Suzie. She still pops 'em on da nose eFURRy now and then but not as much as befores.
