Our Journey...

Think we forgot to tell you a lil bit about what sort of vacay we're on! Last September of 2011, Dad retired. He and momzers got an RV and decided to plan a trip across the country, visiting national parks on the way to Maine (where's that?) for a family reunion. That's a long trip from northern California! Anyway, this blog is now a record of our travels across the good ole U.S. of A. and even Canada - plus all the things we get to do and see! We started our journey mid-March and hope to be back in NoCal by mid-October - yeah!

Better Ways to Chase Balls

You'd think that on a Saturday morning, the peeps would let me sleep in. I'm just out of the teen years and need my zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzs. But no... got wakened up around 0-dark-hundred, given my breakfast and hauled off to... where? Never saw it before and I hope to never see it again. (Woulda been nice to have backpacked up that mountain though hehe.)

Dad and Ma packed me off instead to a place of green grasses, where I, for the most part, wasn't allowed, to watch them hit balls with sticks. I can tell you about sticks and balls better than any human I know, but this was a total snoooooozzzzzzze.

Dad wears these funny shoes - check 'em out - then stands there on this fake grass. You couldn't fool me.

Look how serious these peeps are - hahahahahahahahahah!
Looka Ma! What you trying to prove, anyhoo?

I never thought oldest grandpeep woulda succumbed to this. Sheeesh! I could tell all of them how to chase balls with sticks hehe!

Yaaaaaaaawwwwwwwwwwwn...

That is great! Sammie, you will just have to put up with the silliness of the hoomans that love us so.
Hope you had a nice parkie time somewhere along the day....I am sure you did!

Hugs and snaggle-tooth kisses,

And the weird thing is they hit the ball away with the stick and then they go chase it and hit it some more!
Hoomans! Go figure!

They could have at least let you chase the balls.

That mountain did look far more appealing. As far as golf is concerned, we're with you. Seems like a waste of a good walk!

Fortunately, our humans no more understand that game than we do. Does look like a great place for zoomies though.

hm I prefer tennis balls.

How rude of them, not to let them play, Sammie. We think you should steal their balls and sticks when no one is looking.

Too bad they wouldn't let you retrieve their balls, Sammie...a sporting dog's gotta feel useful, right?!

Too bad they didn't let you help retrieve the balls - that would have made it so worth the early morning call. Maybe you can convince them to take you back to that mountain since you were so patient with them and their silly game.

So many other ways to spend time but fur some reason, humans seem to like it!

At least I get to nap whilst watching!

Looks pretty boring to me too, sorry you did not get to at least chase after what they were hitting now that would have been funny. =)

I don't get the whole "ball that we aren't allowed to play with" thing. I mean... what's the point?
My dad has an indoor practice thingie. When I try to help him by keeping his ball from falling in the hole, he seems to get frustrated with me. What!??!? I'm just trying to help!
Any woo... I got a cool new toy yesterday! Stop by today's post and check it out!

Hi there Sammie!
I think 'walking sedately' around a golf course is not much fun! Digging up the bunkers, though....that's magic!

What a drag! I hope they took you to a REAL place for good and normal ball & stick play afterwards. Like the woods.. with a Kong and a river.. ;)
