Dogs Know...

Momzers and Dadzers had a wild weekend. Three grandpeeps (ages 7mos - 16 y/o) came to spend the weekend with us. I just loves when these kiddos come to visit and lick and hugs them to pieces. But lil' Emma Grace has some pipes on her and my cochlea are still ringings. After the overnights was finally done, I had a great run, but momzers and dadzers were exhausted, it seemed.

A "brunch" was had, so I heard, then a visit to the local bookstore for all, where I wasn't allowed. Mom and Dad were so exhausted, that I was a'scared that they couldn't drive home! Lil Emma ne're slept a wink. We did, actually get home, and here's what mama read and FINISHED. Six hours later (around 9pm), mom came to my bed, where I was jes' relaxin', and hugged and hugged me, tears pouring forth from her eyses. Must be an amazing book and as mom repeated, "dogs know."

Loves ya all xo,
Sammie

Its wonderful for a dog to be so integrated into one's family! That beautiful picture also speaks tons! (We love it!)
...And the book: sounds like a hard hitting read!

Thanks for the warning. My momma is a sucker for any book with a doggie on the cover, but I don't like it when they make her all sad and clingy.

Our hu-dad loves how Koontz almost always has a dog in each novel and how they are usually a hero in some way. But of course!

Must add: book beautifully written and also humorous until, of course, at tale's end. Koontz seems to be as comfortable with non-fiction as fiction.

We'll have to add that to our reading list. Our list is getting pretty long so we may have to start a nightly bedtime reading hour where Momma reads us to sleep.

Those little kiddos can really tire the peeps out. Our mom can vouch for that. Hmmmm, looks like a good book, may have to get the Momster to read it to us.

Our mom loves that book too. Dean Koontz (one of her most favorite authors) is such a dog-lover.

Lots of treats,

Oh, brother, you had to show momma another book that would make her bawl like a baby and follow us all over the house smoochin' all the time. When she read "Dewey, the library cat" at least she was following the cats around!

The very 1st Dean Koontz book my mom read was about a golden retriever that could understand and communicate with humans. It was a great book. She read another one years later where he wrote about dawgs knowing/seeing God every day. My mom thinks about that alot. We'll have to give this book a read!

Hey sammie,
We know how GReat it is to have kids come to visit. We LUV it when our cuzin Caitlin "THE URCHIN" comes for sleep overs. Heck, she's like the only person that Homer J. gives kisses to. Mom and dad are going on a boat so maybe she should buy that book to take along.
