Our Journey...

Think we forgot to tell you a lil bit about what sort of vacay we're on! Last September of 2011, Dad retired. He and momzers got an RV and decided to plan a trip across the country, visiting national parks on the way to Maine (where's that?) for a family reunion. That's a long trip from northern California! Anyway, this blog is now a record of our travels across the good ole U.S. of A. and even Canada - plus all the things we get to do and see! We started our journey mid-March and hope to be back in NoCal by mid-October - yeah!

True Colors

I directed Mom to these items, only one is more brown, which is cheating, but we had to post that one (hint: the last one)! I am feeling well enough to trot outdoors now - yay! I wear an old "Space Jam t-shirt (and sometimes a soft cone - yucky thing that is!) both of which keep me from scratching and biting at my itchy stitches. Basically, I still rest lots and eat babyish foods, but I am way better than I was a week ago! Yahoo! Onward with beige things we found around the home here...xo Sammie
My Ma's 18th birthday menu in Greece, painted by her father.

Me pointing out some of garbage bag collection. I'm wearing my t-shirt here.

... and Mom's sweaters...

...and wooden spoon holder...

...and... well... a lot of you know what this is.

Sammie, We're glad you found us but we're sorry you've been having such problems. Please be careful what you eat. Some things are not so good for doggies.

A couple of weeks ago, Piper was running around like crazy and he had a piece of yard hanging out of his mouth. Mom got the yarn and he still kept action crazy. She got him up and pried his mouth open and found a huge needle crossways in his palate. It scared her to death!! Needless to say she has been more careful with her needles since then.

Take care and rest. We hope to hear you are feeling better soon.

Hey Samantha, we like the bones when they are old, sort of feels like they are ours. We are so glad to hear that you are up and about a bit more. Do be a good girl and maybe Mom needs to put that glove under lock and key:-)

Sammie, you look cool in that t-shirt! We are glad to hear that you are well enough to trot outdoors. Please keep taking care of yourself.
Nice job on the color.
Say, isn't some baby food beige in color? You know what else is beige - milkbones! Hopefully you will get well very soon to eat some of those.

I hope you are over your sickies, lovely Samantha. So many people have asked if they could borrow my Kate and have her bake them peanut butter cookies. You would be first in line and I'm sure her cookies would make you feel all better.

No, I didn't get any Fenway Frank. Last time I ate some hotdog for a training treat, Ms. Alpha was cleaning me up all night long. (sigh)

Your pal,

I'm so glad that your problem thread was picked up in time, you had a very lucky escape!! I work at a vet surgery and I know how bad foreign bodies can be! Hope you're well on the mend now. Keep eating!
